Have you ever wanted to level up your picture-taking ability? Well, look no further! I am going to cover the top 6 photography tips for absolute beginners.

1: Rule of Thirds

Now, what exactly is the rule of thirds? Well, the rule of thirds is a concept invented by John Thomas Smith in 1797. John Thomas Smith created this concept to divide images into thirds. Now what does any of this have to do with photography tips? Well, when using the rule of thirds, you can greatly improve your picture-taking abilities. This setting may be turned on in the iPhone settings and can greatly improve picture-taking ability. You can apply the rule of thirds to your photography by aligning the most important parts of your picture on the grid lines and intercepting parts of the grid.

2: Learn Your Equipment

This might seem like a very basic suggestion, but it may actually be one of the most important lessons of the whole article. If one does not know their camera equipment, they will be limited to what they know. If you truly want to expand your knowledge and ability, then you must learn your equipment the best you possibly can.

3: Composition

Composition is the art of arranging the elements and visual structure in your image. Composition is the idea of putting together the elements in your picture to make your picture seem fuller and more appealing. One of the easiest ways to do this is by arranging your camera so there isn't so much going on in one half of the picture. By doing this you not only attract attention to the whole image, but you are also able to use this principle to get people's attention to a certain element in a specific picture.

4: Take Many Pictures

This may be the simplest piece of advice in this article, but it may be the most effective. It is simply impossible to improve in any skill when you are not deliberately practicing that specific skill. Now that being said taking as many pictures as possible will help you understand all of these tips.

5: Experiment with different presets

Experimenting with different presets can not only make taking more pictures a lot more fun but it can also speed up the learning process immensely. Professional photographers use or create presets for themselves in certain situations and there is no reason that you can't do the same as presets can help make the photography process much easier.

6: Start with the basics

Now the final piece of advice is the most straightforward, but it is essential to a complete beginner. Starting with the most basic camera will give you the chance to advance with a decreased risk of burnout.

Conclusion

Learning how to be a photographer is very hard work, but we can all learn the very basics of photography to help enhance our ability to capture moments in life.
